Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Service tech came out and replaced broken part. Part failed after two days. Owner came out and told me a different part was broke and was not worth fixing. I replaced the part he said was broke and furnace still did not work. The part the first guy replaced had in fact broke. The owner at AAA Plumbing & Heating, Corey West, tried to sell me an entire new furnace that I didn't need. He is avoiding phone calls and refuses to take responsibility for not providing the service I paid for. I had a competent technician come out who fixed it for $50 dollars. Corey West, owner at AAA Plumbing & Heating quoted me $2, 350 dollars."

  • We have offered to reimburse you for the defective hot surface ignitor that was installed by us. That charge of materials was for $44.00. We told you that we would not replace anymore parts on your furnace due to the age and condition of it. When Cory was out to your home Darla watched and Cory showed the meter readings to her of the hot surface ignitor testing okay at that time as well as the reading showing that their was no power coming from the control board. We at no time recommended replacing anything on this furnace. That would be proven showing we quoted you a furnace replacement cost. If you went out and bought any parts on your own and installed them on your furnace it was not because we told you to and there for our company can not be held liable for your decisions.

  • 1. I was never shown any meter reading. I trusted your company.
    2. I obviously could not afford a $2,300 new furnace so I took my chances and replaced the part Cory West said was broke.
    3. After having another technician install the new part (control panel) the furnace still did not work.
    4. Technician informs me the original part AAA Plumbing & Heating installerd was in fact defective.

    5. After getting a second opinion, I was informed I in fact do NOT need a new furnace as our current one is not even that old.
    6. I am seeking the original service call charge, as I did not receive the service I paid for and in fact it COST me MORE money to have you come out in the first place. I wil accept no less than $140.00
