Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"My experience with this Aluminum Trailer manufacturer has been a complete disaster.
this company advertises they make custom trailers according to the customers specifications. Not only did they not build it to my specs they never told me they could not and just did what they wanted to do.
very bad business practices. First ordered an aluminum trailer that was 5 feet 5 inches interior height so that it would fit in my garage. It came with a 5 foot 9 inch interior and would not fit in my garage. They also forgot to install the D-rings for tie downs. Within 72 hours I notified Barry the salesman and told him I rejected the trailer and wanted another one with the right specs. At this time my situation was turned over to Chuck who handles the warranty part of the business. I talked to Chuck numerous times about what I wanted on the new trailer and told him I would pay extra if needed and he verbally acknowledged that. I told him I wanted the cheaper steel wheels and we talked about this on the phone more than once. I also requested more insulation in the walls and ceiling. I also requested vents in the lower end of the trailer. Also requested the 12 volt wired vent moved toward the front roof of the trailer so my solar cells would fit on the roof. Also requested the exterior 110 volt plug in be located closer to the center line of the trailer. It was also understood by Chuck where I wanted the D rings mounted in the floor for tie down reasons. Chuck asked me to meet him in TN recently to exchange the trailers. When meeting him in TN I learned the only thing He did that was agreed upon was the trailer was shorter in height so It would fit in the garage and he moved the 110 volt socket closer to the center line of the trailer. He never once called me and told me he could not put in the D-rings, put in more insulation, the fan hole was installed in the wrong place so I will have to cover the hole, no vents at all in the lower rear of the trailer, and he never told me he could not put the cheaper steel wheels on. I got the same expensive aluminum wheels. I mentioned all this when we exchanged trailers but he just gave a lame excuse, blamed someone else and shrugged his shoulders. When I contacted him for the address of the owner so I could write him a letter to advise of the disaster he refused to give it to me and said just address it to him and he would give it to the owner. This is horrible business practices. He never told me he could not build it to my specs other than what I mentioned. The first trailer model I ordered was on their website and listed a weight of about 560 pounds, the title states close to 900 pounds and I did not get what was shown in the website photograph. Poor management and the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. I also told him I needed the trailer very soon. I need help building the trailer according to what Chuck and I agreed upon. I am a 100% sc wounded vet and can not do much of this myself."
