Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"My company, Vimar Auto Repair, has a great deal of positive reviews from satisfied customers. Unfortunately, we do have one negative review; the gentleman who wrote it paid us for our work and then, upon his departure, called his credit card company to cancel the payment. The company, of course, investigated this briefly to determine whether or not he should be allowed to cancel payment and they came to the conclusion that we completed the work exactly as we had proposed it prior to the repair work being done. The credit card company chose NOT to allow the customer to cancel his payment. To be clear, his credit card company ruled that we satisfied our half of the agreement and he was forced to compensate us for our work. Understandably, you cannot please everyone; however, this single poor review is literally the only review that shows on our company's main Yelp page. Our multitudinous positive reviews are filtered and a Yelp visitor would need to travel to a second, separate page and enter a Captcha code to view our positive reviews. We have 13 total reviews: 12 positive, 1 negative. Almost every one of our reviews has 5 stars but our company's main page displays ONE star, because our one negative review is the only one factored in. This is obviously extremely detrimental to our business. If a customer were to search us, we would appear to be unpopular and unlikeable, regardless of our 12 high-starred reviews and our dozens of long-time, loyal customers. We have contacted Yelp multiple times in an attempt to remedy this to absolutely no avail. We have received no response whatsoever."
