Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I got a bid for landscaping. The bid was $9,300.00. When the project finished it cost me $20,000.00. The verbal agreement was that any of the trees would be replaced within one year. The maple they dropped off the truck and disturbed the root ball. 1 1/2 mos later the tree was dying. The tree next to it has done fine. Also one of the two peach trees they planted died. When I called to say I want these replaced they told me I had canceled their spraying services last fall so they would not keep their commitment and replace these trees. Because I complained about $45/hour pruning fees and the 20,000. They refused to do my snow removal that been agree to a few months prior. So I canceled. The associate that I dealt with had resigned. I have talked to several nurseries and landscaping they all say 1-2 years guarantee on trees is very reasonable and expected. Also all the other businesses I have talked to - say this company is terrible to deal with and they question their business ethics -honesty. I talked to many businesses before I made the decision to go with this company. They certainly made lots of promises to me and acted differently then. Clients need to be warned about this company's ethics. They never provided me with a legal contract up front. It was on the appraisers tablet. I trusted them. I have Also called my legal firm and it will cost more that the $$$ for these trees and the terrible expense to plant them to legally pursue this. This company owner smuggly knows this and is just blowing me off. They do not return calls. I have called 20 - 25 or more times over the last 3 months. Have gotten 3 calls back - one with a message that said henseforth I can email her because I am not always available. Terrible customer report when I have talked to her on the phone -short and rude. I would be glad to supply her name."

  • I have had one of the dead trees removed the tree was in a metal cage lined with burlap. they must have forgotten to remove or open the burlap when they planted the tree. Careless. No wonder the tree died.
