Statement of Claim
"They sold me a bath tub for $2000. And put in writing that it is a bath tub. I told them this does not look like a bath tub, it looks like a liner. I was told verbally and in writing that this was most definitely a bath tub. Upon pulling out the so called tub, under neath was the manufacture sticker and it clearly states: Bath liner only not to use without tub . This was false selling practices and is against the law, I do believe. Want to return this item for refund not a replacement. West Shore is located in Mechanicsburg PA."

    "Hello Ms. Love,
    In response to your complaint, I want to apologize for any miscommunication or misunderstanding of our product/literature. We are a great company with a great reputation and would never sell you a product that we don’t sale. Please know that we do not sale tub liners, we only sale full replacement systems, where we remove your old tub or shower and replace it with the new product.
    This contract is in your name and after you contracted with West Shore Window & Door, weeks later your friend was upset because he’s in the remodeling business and he said that he could have done this job for you at a cheaper rate. He became very angry and disrespectful over the phone. I told him that I would need authorization from you, to speak with him about the contract. Once you authorized me to speak with him, I informed him that the product is here in the office and that we received special permission to reduce the price of the product if he wished to install it on his own. I told him by doing that, it would void the service warranty, but not the product warranty.
    A date was scheduled for the two of you to come into the office to pay for and see the product. You then decided that you wanted to complete the install on your own. While in the office, your friend became very angry because we would not let you out of the contract. He was very aggressive and vulgar, stating that he had never seen a tub like this before. I asked him if he wanted instructions on how to install the unit. He said, he can figure it out. Due to lack of time and space in your truck, you asked if we would deliver it to your home for you. We scheduled a time and day and did so, free of charge. At that point, the Production Manager and I helped unload and carry the unit into your basement. Your friend was more pleasant this time, so I decided to ask again, if he wishes to have instructions on how to install the tub since he has never done a tub like ours before.
    Fast forward to 10/29/14 when I received your BBB complaint, the first thing I noticed is that your statement reads that noticed a sticker that reads “this is only a liner and not to be used without a tub”. I called you immediately and asked for a picture showing such a sticker or a time and date that I could come out to see such a sticker because I know that there is no such thing. The picture you sent later that day via email was a picture of the company’s name, which is Liners Direct. I replied to your email asking you to send the picture that shows the above statement and if there is no such sticker, I’m going to need you to contact the BBB to let them know that you made a mistake. I never heard back from you on 10/29/14. Therefore, on 10/30/14 I called you and mentioned to you that I never received the picture and you stated that you will have to call the BBB and tell them. I replied by asking you tell them what and you hung up on me. I tried calling back, but there was no answer, so I left a message asking you to please call me back and also to call the People Claim online dispute company that we received a letter from. I also stated that this is false accusation and defamation and you need to correct this ASAP, before we have to obtain legal consultation about the matter.

  • In the first place I am Tina's husband. We had no intentions of using your product as we were told by you and the owner of west shore bath that if I did not come up with another thousand dollars you would sue me for breaking the bad contract that my wife made with you. As far as the bath tub we were forced to pay 2000.00 for. It is still in my possession at my warehouse and I Invite anyone who would be taken in by this company to come and look at what type of inferior product they are about to purchase. We reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they responded by threatening us with law suites. West Shore is A rip off and they did such to my wife. Liners Direct is the company who supplied the product. Maybe the proof is in the name? Liners Direct.
