Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I believe Vivint Security is a scammer. I was approach by a salesman at my house more than 2 years ago. i told him I already had a security contract with AT&T. He went on to show this panel that I could contact from anywhere with my phone or IPad. Their prices were lower.. i noticed that I never set my security or used my devices to contact them. So I decided to cancel my contract. I send them 2 e-mails and tried to talk to them. They inform me that I had signed a 60 month contract. I told them I don't remember signing a contract for 5 years. My bill is 2 months past due. They started to harass me with very loud alerts on my panel. They started this on a Friday evening. I called them and told that the sound was so loud I wouldtheir t not be able to sleep. They asked what the panel was stating, I told them it was because of my bill been past due and which I stated I wanted out of contract. They rebooted my panel from their office and told me it would for a least a month. Sunday night it started again I called and told them about the alarm sound. They said they couldn't do anything about it. Asked about the rebooting and Sid they couldn't do anything. It was almost 8 that night on the 9th. I talked to them the sound was too much and I wouldn't be able to take. I pleaded with them to no avail. I told them I was going to use a hammer on it,which I didn't. The technian took pity on me and told me how to disarm the panel which I did. What I didn't know was that they went through my air condition and electrical socket where my freezer was plug in. This is how they get back on people that want to end their contract. At no time did they tell me that they going through my appliances to set up their security. I guess they didn't want to set up another electrical line for me. I didn't noticed my freezer not working until Wednesday the 11th, all my food had defrosted which I had to throw away. When the technian told me how to disarm the battery she didn't know that they went through my appliances hence when battery quit my air condition and freezer quit. Vivint' manager, Marisha, told me she would not sent a technician over. I feel they should not have gone through my air condition and freezer to set up. My food is ruined which I had to throw away and my air condition is disconnected.. This is Jan.14, 2017. I just noticed my little refrigerator is also not working. That makes my air condition, freezer, and small refrigerator not working. I still haven't heard from them after "Marisha" manager for customer services told me she would not send a tech over to check my home for the damages they have done.
I just want out of this contract. I want my air condition, freezer and refrigerator working again. They are not working because lapse in electricity in garage. The technician from Vivint is the one that told me how to stop the alerts sound that was going on. I did what she told me to do. They had the conversation recorded, I could hear the beeps. I don't want no money from them just things to work before they sabotage my home. They didn't ask me to do all this.
Thank you

My account number with Vivint is100300247 my bill is $116.37 as of 12/10/2016.. they did not tell me that it was for 60 months, they did not tell me that they were going through my air condition and socket where my freezer was plugged into, I'm an elderly person 73 years old and was not explain to what they going to do, I'm in a fixed income and I cannot afford it and for 116.37 they did all this by letting an alarm system go off indefinitely. I'm diabetic and have high blood pressure. The stress I'm going though is not good for my health.

This is the amount they are scamming for the 60 months they sign me up for which i was unaware of.
