Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On April 18.2014 I called to have Vivnt security systems install a medical alert system to my unit. A serviceman (Long Her) came to install it on April 19, 2014 the very next day. On April 21, 2014 in the early A.M. the unit kept beeping so I called service. They walked me through a process that did not work. They than said we will have to send a repairman out to look at it I ask when will he be here they said April 26,2014. I said it is still beeping I am not going to listen to this for a week. They said you will have to disconnect it than, and they walked me through that. I than told the person I was not happy with a weeks waiting time and not having to be with out a security system for five days, the person said that is the best I can do. I than said look I do not want a part time security system I am paying for 24/7 service, I had problems with you people before just drop me I don"t want your service any more if I have to wait a week with out security I din"t need it cancel me. He said you can"t cancel you have a contract for thirty months. I said I do not know of a thirty month contract I am not waiting a week for service. You sent a repairman to my house on April 19th in one day and now I have to wait a week for service does not make sense. He said that is the best I can do. End of conversation.
So on July 1 2014 I get a Statement stating I am $142.56 behind in payment which is not true Prior to April 19, 2014 I had sent the a $47.50 check for May in which I had no service I did not receive a statement for June so I thought Vivint dropped me cause That is what I have told them. They are in breach of their contract. A security company that takes five days to service you is not a 24/7 security system. I can see one to two days being down but five is uncalled for and that is why I do not want their service.
When Mr Long Her installed the medical alert system he stated it was his last day of work and their was no one in the Milwaukee area to service it. He stated techs quit often because of working conditions and a tech to cover our area is about forty miles away. I thought about this and this is why I had a five day wait. But this is a company problem problem not a customer problem. I do not want to deal with them. I owe them nothing I paid for May in which I did not have their service."
