Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I have tried in vain to communicate with VERIZON representatives over two years now to get an issue resolved, but VERIZON ignores my pleas or outright lies to me, and does both.

At one time I had VERIZON services, but I contacted VERIZON to discontinue them because I was leaving the country for months. This they did, as I had no services for TV, phone and internet. I thought all was taken care of and this was verified by VERIZON back then (2010). However, they kept billing me for these services not rendered, not used. They kept telling me that no one from their end never put in a change order to discontinue services and apologized.

We went through several phone conversations and each and every rep that I spoke to, promised to get this farce straightened out. That never happened either.

VERIZON has tried to charge me for services never received for years now. They even went so far as to turn me into the credit bureaus for $558 they claim I owe them. This is totally false. I do not have a balance due with VERIZON! At one time during this farce, VERIZON showed me a credit of $111.00. Some how, this disappeared.

The entry in my credit file, (that I didn't know was in there), has caused CITIZENS BANK to deny my loan request. In my communications with CITIZENS BANK, they informed me to get the erroneous VERIZON negative entry out of my credit file to qualify for said loan. This can only be done by VERIZON, but trying to get VERIZON to do this or even communicate with me is futile.

In addition, a VERIZON rep on May 6, 2014 asked me to send all copies of my communications writings to:

That's exactly what I did on May 6, 2014 and so far, that's been ignored also. The VERIZON rep specifically stated to me that VERIZON holds this account in house and "NEVER" sent this matter to a collection agency. This is an outright falsity as I have enclosed to VERIZON Credit Reporting several copies of dunning letters from collection agencies regarding this exact issue.

I am not seeking any monetary relief at this point, just a retraction of this incident from my credit file or a letter of non-responsibility, so I can get my loan.

I certify all the above is true and correct to the best of my ability.
