Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"the company will not refund my membership fee of $100. I signed up with them on September 9 2014 and i have cancelled. The phone number listed on my American express bill is not valid (866 488 5455) i have had American Express put a 4 year block on the company. USA dental says they will refund $39.95 but not the $100. This has all the indications of not a good company."

  • So i now have a membership that is worthless, and I am out $100. to a company that rips of people. The phone number during the recorded session was invalid and Jasons promise to call me on September 11 was a lie also. He also made a claim that if the bill was $100. that the company (USA DENTAL) would pay $80. and I would pay $20. That was a lie also. If you check the website the amount the customer pays is about 60%, not 20%

    To whom it may concern,

    On September 9, 2014, Nicholas Taylor spoke to one of our enrollers for the USA Dental Club and was presented with our membership program, USA Dental Club. After reviewing the information, Nicholas Taylor decided to enroll in our Dental Savings program.

    Prior to processing his payment, Mr. Taylor completed a recorded verification where he agreed to the Terms and Conditions, Payment Authorization, and Cancellation/ Refund policies related to the program. One of the terms in the recorded oral agreement states that the initial membership fee is non-refundable, but the 1st monthly fee is refundable within the first 30 days after enrollment.

    On September 12, 2014, Mr. Taylor called USA Dental Club and asked to cancel his membership. He was emailed a cancelation request form and he returned it in a timely manner. Subsequently, his membership was cancelled and he was refunded the monthly fee as agreed to in the terms (see confirmation of refund below).

    In reference to the phone number which appeared on Mr. Taylor’s credit card statement, we had already identified an error in the configuration of our company information as keyed by our merchant processor. This error in the phone number displayed on our charges as they appear on our client’s statements was corrected by the merchant processor as of 9/12/14. However the member did receive the USA Dental Club customer service phone number during the recorded verification and it was also provided to him by the enrollment representative. The phone number is provided for either customer support or for cancellation purposes.

    While we appreciate and understand Mr. Taylor’s reason for cancelling his membership, there is no justification for an additional refund outside of the terms agreed to by him on the recorded verification. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
