Claimant says:
"I purchased a spa from United a number of years ago. I had them service it annually. They began calling asking if I wanted to sell it back to them for $500. They also offered to trade it in and sell me a new one. I planned to buy a new house so I traded it in and put the new one on hold with a deposit of $250. I also put a deposit of $250 on a pool table with them. My plan to purchase the new home fell through so I cancelled the new spa and pool table order. They refused to return my $500 deposit which I understand. However they are also now refusing to pay me $500 for the spa they picked-up on 1/10/13. I feel I am out $1000 ($500 in deposits and $500 for the spa) and they have my original spa free. I am asking them to pay me the $500 for the spa."

  • Based on United Spa contacting me numerous times and offering to purchase my spa for $500 I believe they received a benefit when they picked up my spa for which I was not reimbursed after I was unable to purchase a new spa from them. They may have disposed of some of the parts but I firmly believe they reclyced some of them. They have my old spa plus $500 in deposits I made to them, yet refused to send me $500 for my old spa. I continue to want them to pay me the $500.
