Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I have been going through a nightmare with TK that has been ongoing for abut 9 months. I took my car there for new brakes: a simple brake job. I ended up going there 7 times over the course of months as it kept on making noises. They did try to fix it but to no avail. They put in two sets of brakes, two bearings. After 7 times, I took it to the Honda dealership. It ended up costing me about $1,400 to fix what was wrong. They had lost a part which is what they originally said was a problem. I had to rent a car for 5 days while they ordered the part. It ended up that a hub was dented which they said could easily be caused by improper installation of the bearing (s). Why did they replace the first? It could have also been caused by them repeatedly putting the car on the rack. I have never hit anything, not so much as a curb with that car. I returned their brakes. No sense in returning the bearing. I tried to contact corporate. Get this: when I called the corporate phone number, they said that they could no longer talk to me as it had been red flagged by corporate. I said that I thought that is whom I was speaking to as it was the number listed as corporate. They said no. I asked for the phone number. They said 'corporate has no phone number and you have to wait for them to contact you.' Really? How were they planning on doing that without a phone? Then I was contacted by their regional manager and told I would be receiving a check by 6/28/14, about four months after everything finally got resolve. No check received as of 7/4. At that point, I emailed the regional manager about 5 times telling him since he had lied to me, I had no interest in speaking to him on the phone, that if he had anything to say to me, I wanted it in writing, in email. Then he would either call me or email me telling me to call him. Someone isn't listening. This is without a doubt the worse experience I have ever had with any form of service."

  • Tire Kingdom,

    Thank you for your reimbursement of two of the three invoices I sent you. However, I would like to be made whole. When I spoke to your representative, Fernando, on 6/19 or 6/20, he told me that he was authorizing repayment of all three of the invoices. The unpaid one is the cost of a rental car I had to use while they were awaiting the replacement part of the part which Tire Kingdom lost. Fernando said, "I understand that you need a car while yours is being repaired, so I am authorizing repayment of that also." He told me I would get the checks by 6/28/14. On 7/10/ 14, I received repayment for two of the three. Thank you. However, I would really expect you to live up to your word. Fernando did not tell me the truth. Your manager at Tire Kingdom told me the check had been mailed prior to 7/4/14, another lie. The checks were dated 7/9/14. By the way, something you might like to know: your new manager was so out of sorts when he saw me on 7/4/14, that he ended up yelling at some poor little old man with a cane to get off the property when he asked him something. Yelling. Good grief. I would like to be able to check this as being resolved, but as of now, I do not feel it has been.
