Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"The Dance Collection Charged a purchase on my credit card that was not accepted. Was told by The Dance Collection that my credit card was refunded. Checked my bank statements and the refund was not issued. Called twice and was told to wait for several billing cycles for transaction to show up. Refund transaction was never refunded therefore I showed up at the business with bank statements in hand and they still refused to issue me a refund. Credit Card Theft!"

Additional Communication Between Claimant and The Dance Collection Hide
  • Feb 21, 2013, The Dance Collection (responding party) added:
  • She showed up 5 months later to argue this? She was never told to wait several billing cycles. We do not give cash refunds as receipt clearly states. She was offered store credit which she refused and also her credit card was refunded. We have gone over and beyond for her and she has come into our store twice and told customers as they walk in not to shop at our store...that we steal from them! That is why she is banned. If this continues we will call the police today.

  • Looks like a simple misunderstanding--either this lady missed seeing the refund on her credit card or the store thought they put it through and didn't.

If the store tells her the exact date and amount they refunded her, and how it would be coded on her card (because sometimes stores put charges and refunds under a different name) she can call her credit card company to check.

It should be very easy to clear up the misunderstanding. Either the refund is there or it isn't.
