"CMS(MEDICAID) HAS DEMANDED THAT ALL COUNTIES ACROSS THE U.S. DISMANTLE CERTAIN SERVICES BECAUSE OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST LIKE; GROUP HOMES, WORK CTR'S, TRANSPORTATION, AND DAY CARES. THIS SHOULD HAVE OPEN THE DOOR FOR MANY PRIVATE PROVIDERS OF OHIO FALLING UNDER DODD IN COLUMBUS, OH. TO EXPAND THEIR PRIVATE BUSINESSES. BUT ONLY THE WHITE PROVIDERS HAVE HAD THE CHANCE TO EXPAND IN BUSINESS, AND NOT THE BLACK PROVIDERS. RATIO FOR WHITE PROVIDERS IN RECEIVING CLIENTS ARE 1:20 IN A MONTH PERIOD OR LESS, RATIO FOR BLACK PROVIDERS RECEIVING CLIENTS IS: 1:1 OR 1:3 IN A 6 MONTH PERIOD OR MORE, HOW FAIR IS THIS, VERY UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE FOR A COUNTY WHO CLAIMS TO FIGHT SO HARD AGAINST DISCRIMINATION. OH MY BAG, THAT FOR DISABLE PEOPLE ONLY, NOT FOR RACE, GENDER....ETC.. WHY ARE BLACK PROVIDERS NOT HAVING THE CHANCE TO GAIN MORE CLIENTS AS WHITE PROVIDERS?????? WHY HAS SUMMITDD NOT DISTRIBUTE THE CLIENTS EQUALLY AMONG ALL PROVIDERS OR TERRITORIAL DISTRIBUTE CLIENTS??? YES SUMMITDD CAN SAY THE CHOICE WERE THE PARENTS AND THE CLIENTS, BUT NOT TRUE BECAUSE THE PARENTS AND CLIENTS WERE GUIDED THROUGH SUMMITDD WHERE TO GO AND WHO TO CHOOSE. SIMPLE BECAUSE 99.9% OF THE CLIENTS AND PARENTS HAVE BEEN ONLY CONNECTED TO SUMMITDD FOR 20-40 YEARS. IT HAS BEEN ALL THEY HAVE KNOWN, AND SUMMITDD TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THAT POINT AND USED IT TO THEIR ADVANTAGE TO GUIDE THE PARENT AND CLIENTS TO WHOM THEY HAD CHOSEN FOR THEM, BECAUSE THE PARENTS RELIED UPON THEIR INFLUENCE AND ADVISE WHICH WAY TO GO IN MAKING A DECISION ON WHERE TO SEND THEIR CHILD. PLUS SUMMITDD WOULD NOT ALLOW PROVIDERS TO PROMOTE THEIR BUSINESSES TO PARENTS, CLIENTS, SSA'S WERE NOT ALLOW TO FAVOR ANY PROVIDER. AGAIN YES, SUMMITDD HAD A COUPLE OF FORMALITY MEET AND GREET WITH PROVIDERS AND FAMILY ONLY TO HAVE MAYBE 70-100 PARENTS/CLIENTS TO SHOW UP OUT OF 4000 CLIENTS WHO ARE ENROLL IN SUMMITDD COUNTY ALONE. WHERE WERE THE OTHER 3900???? I TELL YOU WHERE THEY WERE, THEY HAD ALREADY BEEN PLACED. EXAMPLE: COMMUNITY CONNECTION IS THE WHITE PROVIDER POSTER CHILD FOR SUMMITDD. ON THE START FOR THIS PROVIDER SUMMITDD DIRECTS TO THEM 40 SOMETHING CLIENTS WITHIN A MONTHS TIME, THEN PUT 40 SOMETHING MORE ON HOLD WHILE THEY FOUND ANOTHER BUILDING TO PUT THEM IN. MEANWHILE YOU HAD ABOUT 20 BLACK PROVIDERS WAITING IN THE WING WHO HAD OPEN SPACES FOR THESE CLIENTS TO GO. WHY DID NOT SUMMITDD DIRECT THESE CLIENTS THEIR WAY???? ONE MUST ASK."
