Statement of Claim
"BEWARE OF SPOTLIGHT MARKETING SOLUTIONS IN AVONDALE ARIZONA.

July 17, 2013 I paid them $2399.95 and I never got one penny in return.

They say this is a legitimate business. It looks like a rip off to me. What do you think? Check them out. Other people have had the same experience that I have. They have an F rating with the BBB. They said other people were making $2,000.00 to $3,000.00 dollars per week.

After six months I have earned $3.80 and they didn't even send that to me.

It would not be so bad but I am in my eighties, I am on social security and I have cancer. I don't have the money that I need to pay for medicine.

On July 17,2013 Margaret Pearson from Spotlight Marketing Solutions called me about an old domain that had expired and ask if it was still active. Then she said that Spotlight Marketing Solutions would build me a website that would offer domain names and web hosting. She said it would cost $199.95 to join and there would not be any other out of pocket cost. I told her that I did not know much about computers or websites. She said that I did not have to know anything and that I would not have to do anything at all that the company would do everything for me. She said other people were making two to three thousand dollars a week. She repeated this over and over several times. With her persuasiveness I decided to join.

On July 22, 2013 Loren Michaels called me and said for $4000.00 he would get my website up and running and he would also send 30,000 targeted visitors to my website. I did not have $4000.00 available. He said for $2200.00 he could get my website going and send 15,000 targeted visitors to my website. I thought with that many targeted people looking at my website that i would surely get my investment back. He persuaded me to charge $2200.00 to my credit card.

I paid for the website and I paid for the advertising. They did not tell me that for each sale the company would get $9.00 and I would get 95 cents. After six months there were four sales made and I have earned a total of $3.80.

They sold me a website that does not work. It does not create income. It was totally misrepresented to me. I paid them $2399.95 and I have not received one penny. They will not give me a refund. I have been scamed or may-be you could say I have been ripped off. I want a refund.

I am asking for your help to resolve this problem with Spotlight Marketing Solutions."

  • Earl Alexander says they will help me make my website profitable. If I did know how to get people to my website why would they buy from me when the targeted people they are sending to my website don't buy anything?

Margaret Pearson a representative for Spotlight Marketing Solutions called me on July 16, 2013 and told me that other people were making two to three thousand dollars a week with Spotlight Marketing Solutions. I told her that I did not know much about computers or websites. She then told me that I did not have to know anything about computers or websites that the company would do everything for me and I would not have to do anything. That was the only reason I joined this company. I knew that if I made money that they would make money also and that would be good for both of us. I am 83 years old and I have cancer. I needed extra money bad. Just a couple hundred dollars a month would help a lot. Now I am far worse off than I was before she called me. I am making payments on a credit card using money that I need to pay bills and for medicine.

Spotlight Marketing Solutions has full control of my website. If other people are making two to three thousand dollars a week why can't they fix my website so it makes money also? I don't know what to do. I don't know to do it. They are still sending targeted people to my website and after 11 months I have earned $3.80. I paid them a total of $2399.95 for a website that does not work. They are the experts if they can't make it work how am I going to make it work? They need to do what ever it takes to make it work and if they can't make it work they need to give me my money back. Margaret Pearson did not say they would help me. She said the company would do everything. They sold me a website that does not work and to me that is a ripoff.

To make $2,000 per week at .95 per sale I would have to have more than 2300 sales per week. If ten percent of the visitors to my website bought my product I would have to have 23,000 visitors to my website per week. Margaret Pearson did not tell me the truth about this company.

It has been eleven months since I joined Spotlight Marketing Solutions and to this day I have earned $3.80. Margaret Pearson lied to me and I insist that they give me a full refund.

    Sincerely,

    Gene Bickford

  • I disagree with the explanation / grounds provided

"Spotlight Marketing Solutions, LLC works diligently with every customer to ensure they are successful because when they are successful we are successful. We take great pride in our continued efforts to assist each customer to their point of satisfaction. We would like to continue to work with Mr. Bickford without any negativity to see if we can help him be successful.
On July 16, 2013 Mr. Bickford was contacted by our Sales Department and sold: Website (not charged), Lifetime Coaching (still available to Mr. Bickford), Lifetime Tech Support (still available to Mr. Bickford), and Custom Banner. On July 24, 2013 Mr. Bickford then purchased Facebook Business Page for his website www.bicwebsolutions.com and 15,000 visitors of Targeted Traffic.
As you will see from the table below we continued to work through email and phone calls to assist Mr. Bickford in the success of his online business. We spent many man-hours teaching him and coaching him. We have responded to every question and every request for assistance and will continue to do so.
As you will see from the table below, on August 14, 2013 Mr. Bickford called our Technical Support office and asked why he had 1600 visitors to his website but had no sales. Unfortunately, it is not feasible or even a rational expectation that we would have any control over who actually buys from Mr. Bickford. We have the ability to direct traffic to his website but that is all.
Unfortunately, it is unreasonable to give a full refund to this customer as there has been money spent and employees paid to ensure the success of this customer. It is clear that Spotlight Marketing Solutions provided 100% of all services offered to Mr. Bickford and I am sure he would agree with this determination. He clearly claims he is not making the sale he would like to make. We do not have the ability to influence purchases being made from Mr. Bickford any more than Mr. Bickford had that ability. You can direct customers to his site but it is their choice to purchase or not.
Again, we are more than willing to continue to work with Mr. Bickford at no additional charge to him and see if we can assist him in reaching his sales goals.
