Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"on 12-29-14 I purchased a living room suite. The love seat was damaged and they said they could not fix it all you would see is staples. I exchanged the love seat and purchased the chair and ottoman that went with the set. Now the material was defective and you couldnt sit in it or touch the arms as the dye must have run because my beautiful chair looked terribly dirty. Now the man says we cant fix it so call rtg. They called me now and said this chair and ottoman was discontinued ands I had to go to the store to pick out new ones, they did not do refunds ? So my son and I went and spent hours there as customer service and their salesmen only care about getting everyone that comes in the door, there was no and horrible service. Brian Roberts was this salesman . They didnt have chairs that really matched so I came as close as I could and ordered them. They charged me hundreds of dollars more to do this and then they came and picked up the ruined chair and ottomon. ( I am 73 my husband 80 ) I am the cleanest and best homemaker. They put all this money on my synchrony account but they never credited me for the chair and ottomon and all the so called warranty money that I paid. I called the store and she said I dont know why they dont do the credits they onl;y do the debits and then 3 or 4 months later you get the credit???sine there is no interest they could do anything they want however I pay my bills and these were almost paid so I called synchrony bank and told them they owe me $161.33 more credit per the store and I would contact the attny generals office. they wrote and called me and I got the credit in March. Now I get this billing statement from Darlene 813-635-3847 and it says $161.33 for the ottomon that was "never returned " WHAT ! I took a fit and she said she was calling the store for them to contact me and straighten this out as this paper says I am a thief and didnt return this ottomon..They came they took everything and all paper work at rtg seems all secret they give no reciepts and any paper you have they take and just print out a bill ??? I have been dealing with very dishonest men at this store in my opinion. I feel they do this often with senior customers, they try to confuse you with all their double talk. I am being harrassed by them I want this stopped and I want an apology...."

  • I called every rtg number and all I wanted was an email address to send this claim. Stores dont have emails per michelle at port richie and www.roomstogo.com is a websight not an email I got the worst run around ever, still dont have an email address and I know thousands of others are having this problem. To say it takes months to process the credits alone threw me. they should have said we only process debits whistle for the credits.

I want to know how much you charged me for each item in writing......I called synchrony bank and no credit has been posted only a charge yes a charge for 161.33 on aug 2, 2016. I want all this sent to me in writing so I can proceed, including all the charges over and over for spraying etc.....Please confirm your statement on you have provided me with everything available and how...Also you said I did not return ottoman thats why the charge how dare you make such a false claim..

    As stated previously, we apologize that someone misinformed you regarding the ottoman. As you were informed, we were able to confirm receipt of the ottoman in question. You are welcome to visit your local showroom to obtain copies of any receipts that you wish. However, should you wish to obtain any additional information you can email us at TellUs@RoomsToGo.com.
