Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I bought a Maytag refrigerator 1 month ago and from day 1 the first time it was plugged in the top light blew out. I didn't think anything about it and replaced it .The next day I opened the door and it blew out again. I called the store and they said come in and we will give you new bulbs .I drove there 15 miles round trip and they went to a floor model and took the bulbs out and said there you go .now I looked at the guy and said there is something wrong with the fridge and he said nah its just SETTLING and it shouldn't happen again .OK im an ace mechanic and on top off that ive been doing construction for over 30 years I asked if I could trade it in for something else smaller and they said no there's nothing they can do about it . so I went home put the "NEW" bulbs in just so I could wake up the next day to a dark fridge . I called them back and they said im sorry it might be the fridge we ll send someone out to check it . I waited 1 week for a guy to come to my house and tell me that the light sockets are bad and they will have to order them .I said ok do it .a week went buy and my wife and I stopped in to see if we could come to some kind of an agreement we don't want the fridge . NO WE CANT DO ANYTHING! Another week went by and the same service man came back and asked why the fridge was in the garage and I told him it didn't work right and I didn't need my kids or wife using it and basically said it was a piece of crap that nobody will help me with .On that note I went in to get coffee came out to see his taillights leaving my street .I didn't sign anything or even see him do anything so I called the store and asked what was going on the manager said he did the work and that's that I told him I just spent 1703.00 with a extended warrantee and had to buy another fridge along with not being able to use it and all you have to say is that's it? All he said to me was we didn't tell you to buy your fridge here and hung up"
