Claimant says:
"We had our taxes done through SOS Tax Service in Williamston, SC. Their home office is in
Greenville, SC, called National Tax Service, 918 Poinsett Hwy. Greenville, SC. We have received
our state refund but not our federal. We have tried repeatedly to reach company in Greenville by phone asking if they could find out what is going on. We received one phone call, and they were asked about it. We were told they would get back with us in 2 hours. That was on Monday, April 30. We have yet to hear from them. We had tried several times before finally leaving a message on their phone. The office in Williamston has closed. We have contacted
H&R Block to see what we need to do, since you cannot get thru to the government. We were
told it looks like our federal was never filed, and that is why we have been trying to find out what is going on. It looks like we will have to pay again to get our federal taxes filed, but was told if a claim had been submitted by the previous tax service and then H&R Block files also that we would probably not get refund until next year. We were told it did not even look like our marketplace health insurance was included in the forms we were given back and that the refund we were expecting would not be anywhere near what we were told. We have not been able to get activation code from IRS to see if a claim was even submitted. Tried several times online and now having to wait and get one in the mail. Somehow or another, our cell number could not be identified so that we could get activation code. Needless to say, we do not know what to do but have the taxes started from scratch and filed. All this company had to do was call us back and just say they were sorry for the error or whatever and then file, if that is indeed
what happened. WE CANNOT GET THEM TO RESPOND AT ALL. IF WE WENT TO THEIR OFFICE IN GREENVILLE, THEY MIGHT NOT BE THERE SINCE TAX SEASON IS OVER. Apparently they are just checking messages and calling people back OR NOT."
