If you were working from 8AM to 10-30 PM with mandatory calls bracketing the day, plus calls every 3 hours, clearly you worked more than 40 hours per week. However, you need to attach work logs and mileage logs, including dates and purpose of travel.
I'm not even seeing the actual dates worked here, so the claim is too vague to make a hard call on whether the figure of $5,720 is justified. You should also be more specific about what you were lied to about, what your agreed wage was, and whether you were classified as an independent contractor.
No-one in the Michigan Republican Party is going to give you your due unless you make them, and I see that they haven't even bothered to respond. So make them.
You don't say whether your position was hourly or salaried. If it was salaried (which I very much doubt) and you are considered a "professional," you may not have recourse, because you're expected to work until the job is done.
If it was hourly - far more likely - there should have been an hourly wage agreement. Overtime would be at 1.5 x $x/hr, and if you were not entitled to bill overtime, then you shouldn't have had to work it. Under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, employers are usually required to pay covered employees one and one-half times the employee’s regular hourly wage rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 per work week. You should also have been paid standard mileage if you were expected to use it for campaign purposes.
You should report all violations of Michigan and Federal labor law to the Wage and Hour Division. If you know of other campaign workers who have also been underpaid, you can also look for a labor attorney to file a lawsuit.
Obviously this is assuming that what you say happened is accurate. I have no choice but to assume that, since the Michigan Republican Party hasn't responded.
Regarding the belittling conduct of supervisors, you may not have any recourse but the Michigan Republican Party certainly ought to want to check into it and remedy it if it's causing them to lose staff.
I DO recommend that you break down the dates and times for all unpaid hours plus mileage. I hope you kept good records.

PeopleClaim is a new way to resolve disputes online without lawyers or mediators. By inviting suggestions from the public, disputing parties get ideas that can lead to settlement – and the person(s) who contributed them can win a reward.
Here's what to do: Read the case (left side of page). Then go to the bottom of the page and enter your suggestion in the space provided. Click the Solution button.
Your suggestion will be sent to both parties and will post on the claim. If the two sides agree to settle based on your suggestion, you're eligible to win. Note: Cash rewards may be split among more than one person if settlement depends on ideas from more than one contributor. If you have a claim of your own to resolve, click here.
You can submit up to three solutions / rebuttal, you would like to settle or to be voted on.
