This is a response to a complaint filed against ORCHID SALON by janine Mcmillan. She "claims "that it was a classic case of bate and switch." Which is true . Because she baited me into giving her a quote of $65.00 for her basic ponytail services which includes wash, molding ,add ponytail BUT when she arrived on a busy Saturday morning she decides to ask for wash, deep treatment, blow dry, flat iorn and then added pony tail services which of course increases the price to a $100 . As Miss McMillan stated in her complaint I book the appointment.And I did, BUT not with me and to be clear as she also states in her compliant she was informed by me before her services even started . At this time my assistant/apprentice and i can clearly tell during her shampoo that she was uncomfortable Or as she put it agonizing experience is because they were fresh chemical burns on her scalp from a chemical service done PRIOR to her arrival. VERY common in this business for clients to do services at home to AVoid extra cost . Mrs McMillan also claims that her services took 3 hrs. I find it questionable that anyone would sit through an "agonizing experience" for that lengthy amount of time . When it comes to experience I've been styling and educating for ten years in the City of Dublin and I have a very loyal following who beg to differ with Miss McMillan about her claims against me . IF my assistant wasn't qualified she WOULDN'T BE HERE PERIOD ! Bottom line is that she paid for her services. And as she "claims "sat for 3 hrs to recieve them is because Orchid has been the talk of the town AS THE PLACE to have any extension services done. Which is why I think we were targeted for this kind of thing. I will finish by saying only 1 thing I will agree with.There was a child present at the time of her visit. Children are allowed here at Orchid . He was there for approx. 30 min and was a little rambuxious . And I repeatedly apologized to Miss Mcmillian. So for that I'm willing to Refund half of her money back but I stand by my work 100% IT was beautiful !!! IN THE END I find it shameful these Allegations brought against me came to all of this I could have resolved the problem before it came to this .if given the chance . As tough of financial times are for everyone in this country I find it hard to believe that she would pay the money if she was truly unhappy."
