Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"This company is hired by Choice Home Warrant he can work for them as long as the problem does not cause the company to pay. what he does is come out and make damage if you are not watching him then he will tell you that the repair is not covered by your home warranty. He will call Choice Home warranty and tell them what he has find then he turn around and tell the home owner that it will cost $250.00 which he do not want to give you a receipt and since Choice is not paying for anything they will back him Choice is a bad company to do business with they do not want to hear your side so i told J &R not to come back on my property What i want is a receipty from him because i paid him with a check and i hope that peoples check with B.B. B because he is about making money any way he has to he will come on your property and cause the damage without you knowing he is here that what he did to me so i cancelled the contract with Choice
Home Warrant if you can not trust some one to do the job right he should not be on your property he is a big l.ie and i hope who ever hire him to make sure they are out there watch him because you can not trust him"

Message from J.& R Appliance Service And Repair: On 5-11-2012 J&R was sent a claim from Choice Home Warrenty to put in a compressor into Mr. Andersons home. Choice pre diagnosed Mr. Andersons unit by another tech witch came out befor us and reported Mr Anderson in fact had a bad compressor in his unit. Choice required a deductable of $250.00 to be paid from Mr Anderson to J&R. The $250.00 deductable covered the new compressor, installation,trip charge,taking out old freon and disposal of old freon. (J&R was not authrized by choice to diagnoses pre exsisting problems due to the tech before use came and did that ) J&R put in a brand new compressor and it was working fine when Ricardo left.On 5-21-2012 was sent oveer again due to Mr Anderson say the unit was freezing up on the out side of the unit. On 5-23-2012 J&R sent out another tech who used a leak detection machine and found unit was leaking from the king valve and line set.Our tech brazed the line to stop the leak and was unsuccesful. Ricardo then comes back out to Mr Andersons property and realized that Choice will not cover the king valve leak unless Mr Anderson paid another $250 to J&R and they would cover the balance. Mr Anderson refused to pay so the job was never finished. J&R is

  • The claimant and others providing feedback are consistent with my experience. In my case, this business worked on the home HVAC via a home warranty company. After six weeks and six visits this business has not fixed the home HVAC. At one point in time, the owner stated I am ready for this to be somebody else’s problem. Work was performed – two HVAC components were replaced. However, the system still does not work and this company is unable to diagnose the reason. Aside from the poor workmanship and lacking skill and competence with HVAC systems, the greatest challenge with this company is their service reliability and attentiveness. On two occasions, this business set and appointment and did not show nor call to cancel. On the six visits this business came, they were late between two and three hours each time, and again did not call to advise that they would be late. Receiving returned phone calls is also an issue. On two occasions I left voicemails on the cell phone of the owner that he did not return. I personally do not endorse this company. You can certainly decide for yourself. My recommendation if you do decide to work with this company for HVAC service is to receive a copy of their licensing and request the business to provide referrals so that you may speak with them.

  • I worked for them and they are awesome. Choice home warranty is the problem.
