"On July 1,2014 I hired home depot to install a front fence and a gate in my property. Mr. Anthony ,an agent sent by home depot to do the estimates came by that same date. On that day I showed him of what kind of gate and fence design I like thru the catalog . I told him I wanted an electical gate and asked him of how much it cost. He told me it cost me 5,516.00 dollars altogether that's included the 100 feet fence. I said that's fine and I want it as long as it covers the whole thing, so at that time I called home depot to increased my credit availability that way I can use it to pay the fence and also an electrical gate. While I was busy at the phone, Mr. Anthony made a contract and a sketch of the fence and gate. I reminded him that I want an electrical gate , he answered me that all set , all he needs me was to sign at that time. According to the contract I have to wait 4 weeks ,during those times no home depot employees bother to follow up , so I called and Mr.Anthony said I have to wait. I got the fence and the gate installed on August 18,2014 after so many phone calls from me. I was disappointed because I did not get the design of the gate I like , it's an arch design , what I got is plain just like the design of my fence. I cried and asked why but according to them they couldn't do anything to correct it because my gate was made special order, after a week I decided to called back Mr. Anthony that I accepted the gate and he promised me in the phone that I still get my electrical gate. But anyway before the fence and gate installed Mr. Johnson came by 3 weeks after the contract made and introduced himself that he was the one install the gate and he made suggestion that solar gate is good but I told him I ordered eletrical gate, Mr.Johnson wanted to see the contract document which I showed him that day. August 26,2014 Mr.Johnson installed the solar gate .I asked him of why I got solar instead of eletrical , once again he said that solar is good, that day the solar gate was working fine and it was good for one week. After one week the gate worked on and off like sometimes it open or sometimes did not move or close and open. I called Mr.Johnson and that time he said the problem of that gate was broken fuse so he changed it , two days after that , the gate didn't moved again and I called Mr.Johnson ,he fixed and installed new battery back up, and then it happen again for the next day the gate didn't open and the reason the fuse broken again. Seemed like every other day the gate wouldn't open or close. Second week of October finally I decided to talked to the manager of home depot north 98, lakeland, Florida to complain about the solar. I talked to Mr. Jonathan and I waited two weeks no phone call or no follow up. I got stressed ,I cried for that gate. I called Mr.Johnson to have it fixed but gate only work good three times , it didn't moved open or closed at night and early morning. It's stressful because it cause me delay to go to work or kids got late for school because the gate would not open, Mr.Johnson put new battery back up but it did not work at night. October 23,2014 I went back to home depot and talked to the Manager Mr.Jonathan again and he said he didn't know yet ,still waiting from the upper about what they can do to my complained. October 29,2014 I went to talked to manager in home depot and begged this manager Mr.Bobby that I need to get in my property but the gate wouldn't open.That morning I didn't feel well because I worked at night with 10Hour shift when I came home I stayed awake because I took my kids to school and went to publix for grocey ,went to home depot and around 12 o'clock noontime ,I went home but I could not get in .So I squezzed in the gate ,I split the gate in order to get in because I felt dizzy I need to get my Amlodopine pills for my high blood and get something to eat because I got diagnosed for low sugar. I kept calling home depot but they don't want to talk to me . I was passed by, by different associates nor offered to fix it . I need help. I want the home depot fix my gate for good.On November 6,2014 I called superior fence of home depot and talked to the person they refered to me Ms.Tracy .I told her the problem instead she blamed me that they couldn't fix the gate because the gate had something bent and the solar painted.I did not paint the solar but the reason for the bent was me because I pushed the gate to open ,I need to get inside and get my prescription,I had so many complained, before this bent happen . I feel being rip off by the home depot. That agent Anthony did not wrote eletrical in the contract but we had verbal agreement. something I forgot to check in the contract because I was assumed he did it right, why I got a solar I did not order it but now what I want is to have a gate that I can use, something that worthy for my 5,516.00 dollars .Right now we did not use the gate, stayed open.It broke my heart badly and I tried my best not to get a heart attack for this but I really need help. I'm crying for this gate. If they don't want to fix the problem I want to return the gate and have it credited that way I can hire somewhere else to do the right job. The home depot charged me so much. The home depot treated me badly even I begged them so many times that the gate is not working and I want them to fix it.My dream to have an electrical or automatic gate turned to a nightmare and the home depot responsible for my nightmare.I stop paying until they will fix the problem. Home depot ignoring me because I'm Asian."
