Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I received notice by mail that I had overlooked paying my water bill. I was aware that there was a website that I could make payment using this service.

Bill received by mail stated at present the amount due was 50.32, and by using this website that I would be charged a fee.

When I pulled my account up it stated that the amount due was 111.34. Harvest Water had already added this months bill to the 50.32, but then there was another charge of $40 which I didn't understand.

I called Wednesday, 5 Mar 14, Harvest Water and the representative that answered was extremely rude and would barely let me speak. She tried tellin me what the back of the cut off notice stated if payment wasn't rendered.

According to ur records your payment is now pas due and delinquent. A 10% penalty has been added to your bill. Unless payment is received in our business office by 4:30 P.M. BEFORE CUT-OFF DATE as shown on the other side of this statement, your service will be disconnected. To reconnect you must pay the total amount due and a $40.00 service charge.

Next paragraph

A $40.00 service charge will be added to your account if payment is not received before date of cut off.

I tried stating the 2nd paragraph didn't state the same as the first.

I had my payment in the day before the cut off date which was Tuesday, 4 Mar. I did state that I did not personnally bring it the office, I did have it there before cutt off date as paragraph stated to do.

She was very unprofessional and forward me to her supervisor Karen, in which I go her voicemail. I left this detailed message, as I am now. Karen has yet to call me back. I should not be charged the $40 fee. The 2nd paragraph contradicts the first paragraph."
