Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"There was a pot-hole ( broken asphalt ) in the lane where one would merge into the right lane.
Just outside the white line (about 3 inches). As I was looking toward the left for ongoing traffic...I pulled out onto 166 by-pass going east. The road had Not been maintained and there was a bad place where weather had washed away the asphalt. I did not see this and proceeded to flow into the traffic. As my tire hit the distructive road...it caused a big gash in my right front tire.

I called onstar and they had a person come out and put my spare tire on. BUT, I had to buy 2 new tires (one to keep the car balanced). To replace the tire that GA DOT...Negligence cost me. I paid over $400 for 2 tires and would appreciate GA DOT to pay me for the tire that their neglance caused.

The DOT told me that because the damaged road was on the outside of the white line and that the damaged road had NOT been reported (before me) that they (DOT) was NOT responsible to pay me for my damaged tire. BS .... Someone fixed the road and whoever did this SHOULD pay me for the damaged tire. $217.07 Thank you, A. Delores Wilson"
