Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On September 25, 2015 GCC Auto Sales sold us a car that is a salvage car. The frame on the car is split and is not insurable. There is no way on earth they didn't know that this is a car that cannot be driven.

My mechanic showed me the damage under the car, the broken frame, the crumpled rails that are split open, the bumper that isn't supported correctly and the body filler (basically bondo) they have holding parts of the bumper together are glaring damages.

Not only do I believe you know about all of the damage, you also tried to repair and cover it up as well.

There is another issue with a car dealership that inspected the car on September 14, 2015. They did a pre-purchase inspection and they failed to catch any of this damage. However, the damage to the car is older damage with rust and other issues that could not have been done in the less than 2 weeks from the time of the inspection on September 14th to the time of purchase on September 25th. (you can see that the damage is older in the photos shown)

I'm dealing with both GCC Auto and the other dealership on this. However, the fact that GCC would even have an unsafe car on their lot for sale and let the car be driven off the lot to begin with is shear negligence causing possible harm, misrepresentation, fraud and covering up damage on the car."

  • Thank you everyone for all of your advice. (I am the claimant in this case) I have received no response from GCC Auto. I was told by the sales person that the owner would contact me and I have heard nothing. I also filed with the BBB and they have not responded to them either.

As a matter of fact we had originally put $500 down to hold the car and I did a charge back on it. GCC Auto of course did respond to that because they have no shred of decency. Unfortunately, our credit union went with the dealer in returning that money because we purchased "as is." The credit union had to follow an unjust law that protects unscrupulous auto sales dealers. If GCC had any morels they would have left that alone. It all just makes them look worse.

I am going to call the Governor's Office of Consumer Protection, like Hafsa Durrani suggested. I really feel that suing GCC Auto sales in small claims court is fruitless because even when we do win they will not pay us the money they owe us. It would just be a hassle for us and would cost us more money.

What I am going to do is post reviews everywhere I can think of. Angie's List, Yelp, Auto Trader, Car gurus, (any auto site I find them on), Google Reviews and elsewhere. Once I get the review written up I will just copy and paste it everywhere I find to do so. To me this is the best way to inform the public not to shop with GCC Auto Sales.

If it was just me that had trouble with them I may think twice about doing that. However, there is another person on People Claim that has filed against them for selling them a car with a salvaged motor. Since this is the case, it is my duty to let everyone know the damage they are causing to the public. They are so damn lucky I didn't get into a wreck when I drove that car off the lot. I was driving an unsafe car and they knew it. They have no conscience whatsoever.

Look for my reviews in the upcoming months around the web. I will be doing these over a long period of time or until they pay me the over $6000 that they stole from me. If they decide to change their name I will go back and adjust all of my reviews to apply to any name they decide to go with. I am furious and I hope no one ever does business with them no matter what name they go by.
