Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I recently bought tickets for the first time with Fandango. Two movie tickets for a friend of mine online. I am in Florida and my friend is located in Rock hill, SC. I am new to the process of ordering movie tickets online. I purchased them and didn't realize that it was for tonight's showing. I wanted them for the following night. I tried to call their customer service line and was on hold for what felt like over 40 minutes. So, I hung up and decided to try the live chat option. I was literally on hold for 40 minutes. During this whole process I am looking at the time and I notice that as I am on hold that the movie start time is nearing. I made the purchase between 8:20-8:40. I disconnected the chat and tried to call again but I was on hold for another 20 minutes. All this time I'm realizing that time is closing in.\
I try the chat one more time and by the time there was a response, it was already after 10:00 pm. The associate Cindy refused to accommodate me with an exchange, so I could correct my mistake and set the tickets for the following day. She wouldn't budge. I I wasn't asking for my money back, I just needed the ticket to be changed for the following day. I asked if there was any other alternative as I was a brand new customer and she said, NO!
I am furious!! I am out 25.00 and for what?? I will never use their services again. This is just outrageous.

The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:

    Thank you for your previous contact and for taking the time to voice your concerns.

    We are sorry that we cannot grant your request, but when it comes to offering refunds or exchanges for Fandango credit, we are limited to a minimum of 2 hours prior to the start of your show time. Since your request was initiated after that time had already run out, we no longer have that option.
