Claimant says:
"On April 17, 2016, I paid Ike P. Dendy $255 cash as a deposit for work he and his partner, Gene Wesley were supposed to do at my home. They were supposed to cut a drainage trench through a concrete patio, and run gutter downspouts away from house and out back towards the creek. They were supposed to start 3 days later on Wednesday, April 20th, but never showed. Weeks passed with excuses, then Gene Wesley came on Sunday evening to start cutting the trench, then stopped because his saw blade was dull. He agreed to return the following morning to finish the work, but never came. For a full week, I called and texted both Ike and Gene and got ore excuses. This went on until I finally gave then an ultimatum to do the work of give me money back. By then, Gene stopped returning my calls and texts altogether. In early May, I finally sent a text demanding my money back. Fast forward to today, June 7th, and still no money. Ike said he was waiting on a big check from another job, and had over $3000 in business expenses, so he couldn't give me the remaining $130. He promised I'd have it by 2 PM Friday, June 3rd. At 3 PM June 3rd, I called and he didn't even answer the pone. I sent him a text telling him I was going to sue him. I haven't heard a word or received the rest of my money.
These people are crooks..plain and simple. I wasted a month waiting for them, then ended up having to pay someone else to do the work I gave them a deposit for! I have text messages, bank record of the $ withdrawal, plus witnesses who were there when I paid these people the money and they agreed to do the work. I don't care how large or small the amount of money is involved. The bottom line is, it's NOT YOUR MONEY to keep! Be ware of anyone who claims to be a Christian, yet steals. Yes, Ike, it's considered THEFT when you take someone's money then do not perform the services you were paid to do!"
