Claimant says:
"I have had maintenance issues with my stay at Quail Ridge Apts in Raleigh, NC. Overall I have enjoyed my stay for 5 years. However there are 2 things that are a cause for concern. I have noticed that there is a separation of the wall in my apt starting in the living room from the ceiling to the floor and also in my bedroom. Requested the maintenance to look at this problem and it took 2 days and all that was said is it is a "old" building. I voiced my concerned as I am concerned to that this is a weakening of the foundation. Second item is my refrigerator on a few occasions when opened has had roaches inside. When informing my resident manager I was told that they were trying to find a warm place. They sent the exterminator but they don't spray in the refrigerator. Nothing was done. Last, I had a dishwasher the was making a terrible noise at the spin cycle. I had to go to the office 3 times before anyone to follow my instructions to listen to it when it gets to the spin cycle. Finally after 3 visits to the office and causing me to be late for work , a maintenance personnel listens to the dishwasher and finds that the motor was blown going in to the 5th year. One was ordered and installed. The problem with the installment with is the old 1 inch screws that held the old dishwasher in place in rotting wood came apart and the dishwasher caught my hand between the counter (rotting wood) and the top of the dishwasher. I have pictures of it all. I went around to the office for the 4th time and showed the manager the pictures and my finger. The maintenance personnel came and again screwed the dishwasher in the second time, 1) in the same rotting wood and 2) and secured it up against the wall . Again, the 4th time, I had to be late for work to go around to the office again because the work was done wrong and in a rush. I saw Mercedes and she seemed to be annoyed with me coming and asked the maintenance personnel in the office to look at my pictures. He, in turned, started laughing, and said that he would come and fix the problem. I am left with a raised mark and scab on my right ring finger and 5 days of being late to work because this property has not taken the tenants, of whom pay their salary seriously. The manager wouldn't even acknowledge me the last time I went to the office stating that the dishwasher still was not installed properly. I am not one to try to get over. If I am late I pay it with no problem but this situation is deems some type of retribution on the part of Drucker and Falk. I am requesting that I receive this month free that is due in July 5, 2018 and I will be pleased with that. I am not in the office for anything but this is and has been strapping for me because I was late to work times and there has been nothing offered from management for my suffering and loses of time at work. I would even accept to have 1/2 of the rent waived for this month."
