Claimant says:
"I returned a tan puffy hooded coat that was a Christmas gift as it fell apart in less than 3 months. The "store manager" was supposed to credit my husband's account for $69 even though he paid $89 for said coat. I did not have the receipt but it was on my husband's charge account which was paid in full. The manager charged the $69 to his charge account instead of crediting same. I've spent over 3 months trying to resolve this and they continue to say he owes $69 that I purchased a black puffy hooded coat. I did not purchase anything, I just returned a defective coat. The store manager called another store to get the item # as she did not have any left in the store and the item # was for a black hooded puffy coat, not a tan one. That is why they say I purchased a black coat. You can send police in to check all my closets and house for this so called black coat if you like. I did not purchase anything!!!
They owe my husband's account $69 and should be returning the $69."

  • Continue to contact the manager of Dress Barn in Lancaster. This needs to be resolved for the full amount now. It is already over 3 months delay. The manager needs to accept responsibility for this error on her part. She's the one who charged the account instead of crediting the account.
