Claimant says:
"We are very unhappy because of a faulty vehicle we were sold by Doug Henry. A 2013 Hyundai, Accent, GLS. Vehicle ID number KMHCT4AE6DU369493, with 43,356 miles when purchased. Cash price of vehicle was $11, 629.00. We have questions about many of the hidden fees we were charged. Such as Electronic filing fee,$69.00, Admin Processing fee, $469.00, warranty contract fee $1,859.16, and charges paid to others on our behalf in the amount of $2,558.00. We were treated with disrespect and lied to after being promise that the problems we experience would be taken care of. We made several trips to the company in Farmville, NC and even were told to leave the vehicle for a few days. They would patch up the vehicle and once we drove it off the sale lot the same problem would return. We feel that we were sold a vehicle that was previously wreck or was a flooded vehicle which was never thoroughly inspected before sold to us the customer. There were no floor mat, no spare tire, antenna needed replacing, and we had to replace vehicle battery less than 12 months of purchase. We finally decided after much disrespected shown to us by this company to take our funds and just pay for some of the repairs needed to keep the vehicle on the road. This was done on 5/03/2016.
We feel that we were taken advantage off and treated in such a disrespectful manner because we are middle class African Americans and this is a pattern by this company after talking with other customers who have had very similar experiences with Doug Henry in Farmville, NC."
