Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I ordered the NFL ticket for my Bar last year. This year I did not order it, or do I want it
DIRECTV started taking money out of my bank account last month, $1200 and $1400 this month. When I called to cancel something I didn't order and ask for a refund, I was told
I could not get a refund and that I had to keep the football package. Also they will continue
to bill me [double the price of last year] and threatened me with collections.
Does DIRECTV have to resort to strong arm tactics to make there money? I'm being robbed
and everybody that I talked to at DIRECTV seems to think that's ok. IT'S NOT OK!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • Thank you for contacting DIRECTV through PeopleClaim. I must explain that PeopleClaim is not connected to our Residential or Commercial Customer Service. This is only a third party site that allows you to post your complaint online. We do monitor this web site as a courtesy as we do try to assist our customers as much as possible. However, I must explain that I do not have access to your account information through this avenue. I am also a representative for Residential Customer Service, so I do not have access to the service information you are speaking about in your message. To speak with Commercial Customer Service, call (888) 388-4249.

    For Residential accounts, the NFL Sunday Ticket does automatically renew the next season. We must be contacted before the season starts to cancel the service if it is no longer wanted. Once the season has started, this limits the cancellation options we have and is part of the terms of the Residential Customer Agreement.

  • I was not told that it automatically renewed for the next season and did not authorize payment from my account. I have spoke with commercial customer service about this and was threatened with collections. The NFL sunday ticket did not increase my business at all last season. I do not want the service and you can not force me to take the service! I will not let this go. Reimburse the money that you stole and it's done.

  • I can understand your feelings regarding this situation; however this does not change the options that I have regarding your account. I do not have any other contact infortmation to provide as only Commercial Customer Service can assist with commercial accounts.
