Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Hired a Licence Tec to Repair my Heater(replace gas valve in furnace) Job done in hour and half and he charged me $600 for parts and labor. When asked for receipt said he will mail it as he had not brought with him.Asked about the parts he gave three different statements. !st he got from Standard Supply ,2nd time he said ordered on line 3rd said bought on his account fron American Refrigeration and heating and they do not issue receipt. Checked the parts on line and distributors fount it was from $66.39 to $82, Called this man and told him to take his part and refund my money. He demanded for new one as the one he installed was used, so I ordered new from Patricks Supply kansa city for $70.39and informed him to take it. He then told me that he dosen't want the new one, he wanted his old the one he put then only he will refund my money, I got this removed from the furnace and took both (new & used called him to meet at his familys office in Sacramento on Saturday 12/14/13 at 11.30am. He did not turn up texed me to leave the parts there and he will pick it later and if store returns it then he will refund money. I did not trust as he made many false statements and brought the parts back. Contacted his family members, friends to solve this problem, but he refuse to agree and said go and what ever I wanted to, he does not care.The Bussiness name is DC Appliance and Electrical Services of 8430 Kesuman St. Sacramento CA 95758,Phone 916-317-1374 owner Dinesh Prasad or Danis. I had issued a check and still no receipt being issued either for job or parts. His hourly rate which he stated was $45.hour worked for 1 1/2 hrs only, but states that he had to run arroun to look for parts. Every time I called him he made different statement. On the job he did not use proper yellow thread seal tape for gas line, instead used white seal tape for water pipe and solid gas lie pipe was also not used, instead he put flexible pipe used for gas stove on outter side. He said this was temporary and will change it later, when asked to do now does not respond to calls."
