Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"5-16-2014 Inspection of air conditioner was found to be good working condition.
5-19-2014 I arrived at my home, and air conditioner was not working.
5-20-2014 I contacted Consolidated Heating and Air and requested a repairman be sent to my home. Repairman (Michael) informed me that my unit could not be repaired. I would have to pay cash, check or credit card for a reconditioned or have a new unit installed.
I wrote a check in the amount of $2164.00 and reconditioned air conditioner was installed. Warranty 1 year service, 5 year parts.
6-12-2014 Upon entering my home the air conditioner was not working. It was 93 degrees in mobile home.
6-13-2014 Contacted Consolidated and requested a repair person to investigate the air conditioner. Repair man arrived at my residence, and would return Saturday morning 9:00am to make repairs.
6-14-2014 Repairman (Michael) arrived at 9:00am and informed me that he had a discounted repair cost of $800 to repair air conditioner. I asked about warranty which he had informed me that I had. I purchased a fan at Wal-Mart on 6-14-2014.
6-16-2014 I informed the manager of our mobile home park to investigate.
6-17-2014 I called Consolidated Heat & Air Conditioning and spoke to Allen (a employee).
Allen will investigate their records.
6-18-2014 A repairman Rich arrived and repaired my air conditioner at no charge.

Note: I received a telephone call from a women who informed me that my six month inspection was due and could she send a man to my unit to inspect on 5-13-2014. Consolidated Heating and Air Conditioning has been taking care of my inspections for several years, and they have been completed satisfactorily. I had built up personal trust with their employees.

I am concerned as to why I had to pay $2164.00 for a reconditioned air conditioner on 6-20-2014 and why on Saturday I was informed that I would have to pay a special discounted price of $800.00 before the air conditioner would be repaired. Where is the written documentation for my warranty. Today is the 28th of June and I do not have documentation. Was my air conditioner in need of repair which the repairman said and why could he not repair it. Why was I informed that I would have to pay a additional special repair price of $800 before the unit would be repaired. Where is a copy of my warranty today on the newly reconditioned unit which was installed, and can I expect to receive one."
