Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"My complaint is with Comcast Cable, I was a Comcast customer for a while. Readying for an upcoming move I went to the store to cancel my service. I turned my service equipment in at the front of the store and proceeded to the clerks desk who told me that turning my equipment should cancel my service. So I left, and came back a few days later just to make sure my service was canceled, sure enough the clerk told me my account was canceled and reassured me that I was good to go. Several months later I find that a bill was parked on my credit for $253.79! Never called me, nothing. After some research into figuring out what happened my account was never actually canceled; and month after month of bills piled up at an address I wasn't living at and for a service I was NOT using. Apparently when opening my account the store clerk had used my middle name from my ID and not my first name. So not only was I not using the service but the name on the account wasn't even right. I think this is why my service was not canceled despite my requests. So I called the store and did everything that was asked of me to get this cleared, for several months I was jerked around thrown from department to department trying to get it resolved with no avail. Eventually it came to me sending my leasing contract to the company and even still that was not good enough. For one whole year this mistake by Comcast has been negatively affecting my credit and caused so many problems and wasted time and effort on my part."

    Submit All of your data and complaints to Atty. Gen of California and/or submit same to FCC and especially provide Any and All documentation as new address, old comcast billing, Anything in writing, from any relevant source.
