Claimant says:
"This past winter we rented a condo through Coldwell Banker of Siesta Key. After we completed our stay we were not given a full refund of our security deposit. Ms. D'Angelo said the Florida rental tax was raised, that an extension of our time was subject to more tax, AND WE WERE NOT REIMBURSED FOR KITCHEN EQUIPMENT WE HAD TO BUY (WITH D'ANGELO'S APPROVAL) BECAUSE THE UNIT WAS ILL EQUIPPED. 1) Our rental contract spelled out sales tax to be paid, and we were never notified that there was a change in this... until after completion. 2) Our extension offer was for the total-including sales tax... 3) example on the kitchen equipment.. we had no cutting board-- what were we supposed to do... cut on the formica counter tops? Ms D'angelo authorized us to purchase what we needed... we did, up to the tune of about $40.
We realize that we orginally were dealing with another person from that office and that she left, but we never received any info about changes in tax rates from what our contract contained, our offer for the rental extension was for 1200 for additional 3 wks.. and the person we made the offer to was told it was an all inclusive offer....and that it included sales tax... etc, and why no refund on kitchen equipment Ms D'angleo authorized?
Ms. D'Angelo has never given us a breakdown on our shorted refund, and now refuses to answer e mails."
