Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I came into C-Links on 8/19/2014 around 11:30 am. I have a 2002 Cadillac DHS the car was running hot so, I went to this Mechanic shop C-LINKS AUTO 598 Powder Springs ST. Marietta, GA 30064 770-425-0608. When they checked my car, they ran a diagnostic and came to the conclusion that the radiator was the problem. So after it took them 2 hours to get my radiator, in which the person who went to get pick it up, also picked up her kids along the way, because she brought back two kids when she picked up my radiator. So, after they put on the radiator, the car was still running hot, so they said it must be the thermostat, so they replaced the thermostat, charged me $333.00 handed me my keys and said that the car was fixed and ready to go. I didn't even drive out the parking lot and I seen my thermostat hand rising. I brought it to the mechanic's attention and he looked at me said, then your " Heads must be gone" this is after I paid and he told me that my car was fixed, 30 seconds later."

"Mr Burley's claim is false. He came into the business stating he needed his car water pump fixed, he was then asked how he knew it was a water pump problem and if his vehicle's check engine light was on. He was also asked that how long has his vehicle been running hot and he said a couple of weeks. The technician opened the hood of the vehicle and there was an obvious leak from the radiator. Mr. Burley was called into the garage where he was shown the leaking radiator. He then authorized us to fix the radiator. we told him how much the part was going to cost, the labor and how long it might take. He then gave us the go ahead and he signed the auto repair order. We requested for the parts from Oreilly's. while waiting for the part, seeing that it was taking too long, our secretary offered to go get the part from oreilly's store on powder springs street in marietta, ga. Oreilly's doesnot have the part in stock, it has to come from their hub store and a driver was sent to go get the part. Oreilly's can be called to verify that the part was delivered by their driver later that afternoon. The store's contact # is 770 250 0033. Mr. Burley was informed as all these was going on. he was not overcharged or treated badly. he was charged for the radiator, the antifreeze and labour to install the new radiator. we had to change the thermostat as well at no cost to Mr. Burley. There is no way of knowing that there was something else wrong with the vehicle if the obvious is not fixed first. When the repair was completed, he paid and got into his vehicle. He came back and said its still running hot, the manager then suggested that the cylinder head might be gone. The secretary apologized for the delay and Mr. Burley left. He was in no way ripped off. Service was rendered to him and he paid. "
