Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I posted one of my cars on Auto Trader and was contacted by this company to help promote and sell my car. They told me that they could have my car sold in less than 90 days or my money back with just a $29.00 fee for their service. I didn't see any problem in that and they seemed as a good deal, because I'm in the Military and wanted to sell my car before I PCS'd to Germany. I did what they asked, as in taking pics of the car and sending them $249.00 for their service. I did contact them around the halfway point to ask what's the norm on hearing any buyers. Of course they told me normally around 60 days should be hearing something. After the 90 days passed I notified the company that I will no longer be needing their services cause my time was up and I'll just ship the car to Germany, and I asked them what do I need to do to get my refund, so I downloaded the forms and mailed them back to them back on the 15th of October 2012 and to this day still nothing. All I want is my refund back, and pls put the word out about this company practice, I mean it's a shame and i feel really stupid to have trusted them, but as soldiers we're always taught HONOR INTEGRITY RESPECT, oh well lesson learned."

  • Unfortunately, this seems to be a common theme among complaint sites for this particular company. When you sent in the forms to request your refund, did you keep copies and also send in certified to the company to be able to track when they received it? In this situation, perhaps the state Department of Veterans Services or the Attorney General’s office, Consumer Protection units can assist you in obtaining a refund. Make sure you provide them, in your complaint, with all the information you have available – original contract, refund paperwork, and any communications you have had with the company.
