Dear Gatestone,

I received your letter dated December 13 claiming a debt from
AT&T Cellphone Service of $1,196.33.

In letters dated November 14 and December 7, I explained
to AT&T Customer Service in Harrisburg, PA that I never
received service on a new AT&T cell phone that I purchased
from Best Buy in Manhattan, and that the charges for a new IPad
were misrepresented by a Best Buy sales representative.

This voided my contract with AT&T due to non-performance and
misrepresentation. Due to this situation, I returned both my phone
and IPad to Best Buy, where I had purchased them.

On November 14, I asked AT&T Customer Service to cancel my
account and all billings. Instead it sent my charges to Gatestone
on November 27 for collection.

If you decide to pursue this matter, I will contact the Better Business
Bureau and take other legal actions that are available to me. I am
a retired lawyer and understand my rights in this situation.
