Claimant says:
"On February 2,2017, the Arkansas Pain Center located at 308 Smokey Lane, North Little Rock, AR, took an initial urine drug test from me.  On April 19, 2017, I received a billing statement for this procedure in the amount of 1,615.00. They charged me 75.00 for each of the 22 drugs they tested for in one drug test. In my experience with drug abuse counseling, as part of the Community Mental Health staff, I know that one drug test costs between 50 to 100.00 and they also test for many drugs, including those the Pain Center tested for.  This is a ridiculous cost on patients and the insurance companies. They have yet to receive any reimbursement from my insurance.  I wonder why.  Besides, I am liable for 20% of the costs after the insurance pays. This charge will cause me to have to pay a minimum of $323.00 for one drug test. I will not be financially able to continue treatment at this rate.  I can clearly see the abusive over costs and charges being put upon me and my insurance. They also sent me another bill for 271.00 which is also pending for insurance payment. I called their billing department questioning the charges. They said to me, that is the way they charge patients, that is, they charge $75.00 for each drug tested from one urine sample. This is outrageous.  What is the nexet step to go to in order to investigate this abuse of charges?
