Claimant's opinion: Mr. Flores knew that he had purchased the truck from Transwest for $600. He failed to get the title and had not followed policy and procedures for abandoned property in Colorado as he may want to claim. After I contacted him, and he accepted my arrangement to get my truck back, he did not keep his promise to keep the truck for me as the rightful owner. He planned to rip me off by getting my money and still make it difficult for me to get the truck. After he came back from Arizona I called him and he told me that he wanted me to add $1500 to the bill of $8000 because he had someone to pay for storage. When I told him that he did not mention that in our earlier conversation, he told me that if I wanted the truck, I needed to purchase a new clutch and pressure plate because they were missing from the truck. I became suspicious and at point, I decided not pay anymore money until I had a concrete arrangement or I would lose everything. This is not good business and evidence of fraud is written all over Mr. Flores' dealings.Mr. Flores has constantly refused to discuss my truck and evaded addressing my complaints. He had no idea that I now knew that he actually purchased the truck. After he purchased it and it was his, he should never have taken any money from me under false pretenses and threatening to dispose of my vehicle he knew he was not going to let me have it anywhere. He sure used hidden conditions he knew but never communicated to me. I would have been happy to pick up my property left in the truck had he just been plain and straight forward and followed the laws meant to protect the consumer in me. Mr. Flores has damaged me and my family for many years to come. I worked very hard to raise money to purchase the truck and the additional money he took from me. My only source of income has been plundered and up to now, I do not have any means of raising funds to start from scratch. It is an unfair business practice he uses and very fraudulent.
Claimant's opinion: Mr. Flores is an unscrupulous business dealer and he ripped me off of my hard earned property and cash in addition to my truck.
Claimant's opinion: This does not only feel like a scam, it is feels like an advanced scheme of taking advantage of desperate customers.. I thought Mr. Flores was genuine business executive but when he came from Arizona, he told me that I had to add $1500 onto the original charge of $8000 because he had someone keep my truck in his storage. I was under the impression that he (Mr. Flores) was the storage owner where my truck was kept but it turned out he wanted me to pay another third party I never heard of before. When I refused and became suspicious, he turned around and told me that the truck had a clutch and pressure plates missing yet earlier he had told me that only the transmission was missing. That made me more suspicious and at that point I had gathered the remaining balance to send to him and after consultation with an attorney, I decided not to send any more money until I had proof that the truck was still there. It turned out the truck had been either sold or broken for parts, I would be in a big loss for the truck and the money.
Claimant's opinion: When I paid the $1100, I was under the impression that it was so secure my truck and not have it sold, but Mr. Flores had calculated his steps to rip me off. He never gave me a receipt for the money I paid neither did he indicate on the invoice the balance owed after my payment. Now he claims that he is not paying me back my money because I failed to pay him in time. How could I have paid him when he was no longer responding to my calls or emails, even after he kept changing demands and wanting me to pay more than the original quote which was fraudulent too. He could have simply told me that if I paid the down payment, I should not expect it back after so many days or at least let me know what the conditions of the down payment were. The plan was sure to disenfranchise me.
"American Trucking and Recovery is not a straight forward company. Never send any money rather take it in person and collect your property than wire money as he instructs you or you will never get it back. If you can avoid doing business with this company, believe me, you save yourself a headache and your hard earned cash. I speak from experience."

PeopleClaim is a new way to resolve disputes online without lawyers or mediators. By inviting suggestions from the public, disputing parties get ideas that can lead to settlement – and the person(s) who contributed them can win a reward.
Here's what to do: Read the case (left side of page). Then go to the bottom of the page and enter your suggestion in the space provided. Click the Solution button.
Your suggestion will be sent to both parties and will post on the claim. If the two sides agree to settle based on your suggestion, you're eligible to win.
