Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I purchased a Whirlpool Stove on 2/19/11 and have had going on 8 repairs for it with no satisfaction. It has been out of service for 3 weeks at this time 6/3/14 and Diamond Repair has not been able to fix it. We purchased the extended warranty. ABC refuses to admit this stove is a lemon and will not give me any credit toward a new stove from a different manufacturer. I have called the local ABC where it was purchased, ABC Corporate and they are saying it can still be fixed. Also, I have called Whirlpool Corporate to complain about this defective stove. It has had gas leaks, shorts out and flips the electrical breaker every time I try to use it. I feel that this has been handled very poorly."

    I do apologize for any misunderstanding with your claim. I was under the impression that if the unit was fixed on the last service call that you would be satisfied. I do understand that the stove did take longer to fix then expected. As a result, you were forced to eat out for several weeks. I have talked to my supervisor and he has agreed to cover some of those costs for you. If you would please call me at the store to talk about what might be a fair amount. Hope to hear from you soon to take care the issues you have had during the process.

  • I talked to Mr. and Mrs. Ozmun in the store before the last service call and thought we had come to an understanding. What I thought we had agreed to was if the unit was fixed on the last service call the issue would be resolved. I do agree it took longer then we would have liked to be repaired because of multiple repairs that needed to be done. As far as I know the unit is working now. Please contact myself at the store to talk further about a fair resolution.
