Claimant says:
"My husband and I joined the Direct Buy Shopping Club, located in Rochester New York. We paid the start up fee of , I believe, $400. and we have been paying $150.40 a month to Beta Finance for the rest of the membership. We have paid this for at least two years. At the beginning of the year we received a letter stating the Rochester Club was closing but we would still be taken care of. I was getting ready to get new living room furniture when I discovered that there was no place in New York that I could order and pick up the furniture, as is the way the club works. The closes place we could go was Pittsburg Pa.
We see this as a breach of our contract. They knew when they told us about the Rochester club ending that there were no more clubs in New York and that we would have to drive over 5 hours, one way , to pick up our items. Now they will not talk to me on the phone. They answer and then say good by. I think it is a machine. Please help!!!!"
