Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Purchased a Sony television at Best Buy for $400. Television lasted less than 2 years and is broken. (A red line appeared first, then images became blurry, then colors were completely confused.)

Certainly there is a defect in a television that lasts less than 2 years.

Called Sony and Best Buy. Sony offered a used television for $200 or service at my own expense. Service begins at $150 for diagnostic before any work is even performed.

I have a Samsung that has lasted for over 15 years and a Sanyo that is going on 10.

I am retired and on a fixed income. I can't afford $400 for a new television every year.

You can be sure this was my last Sony!

Terrible product. Terrible customer service.

They should be ashamed."

  • Sony Bravia television, Model: KDL32BX300; Serial: 8304753; paid $430.30 at Best Buy #441 in Attleboro, MA

My mom has mailed the receipt to me and I will scan it and e-mail it to you as soon as I receive it. (She does not have Internet service, so I am helping her with communication.)

The television was actually purchased on my brother's credit card and my mom paid him back in cash.

Thank you for your attention in this matter.

    Sincerely,

    Patrick A. Taylor
