Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I searched 2000 land rover, range rover between $ 6000 & $ 7,000 and found one at Carmasters of Arlington. Not knowing if I would be able to get financed, I called in, spoke with sales rep. Langly. where I ask on the about the truck he said a lot of people were looking at it I should come in now. I questioned about getting financed he asked for certain documents and said he would try first not to waste any ones' time. So I came in during work day hence the urgency and deal for the car. So we did the paperwork he told me he could get me approved for a monthly payment. I liked I was told that the car was in great condition, and covered under 90 day power train warranty rush through the process my first test drive on the way home where I heard a rubbing like it was in the wheel base. I have no clue to these sort of things. this was march 1st 2012. I had a conference for my jobs that week end out of town, so I drove the truck thinking I would be fine since I just bought it the day before, so that Sunday, march 3rd on the way back, on the highway, the drive shaft breaks. it could have been very ugly. I got control, pulled over, contacted my insurance, they informed me the tow would be $400. back to the dealer ship. I called the dealership spoke with Langly he then put me on the phone with a man name ''t '' the manger i relayed to him what happened, and the bill, he told that s to much he would pay for that. agreed to pay half beings the distance i traveled and not knowing the the process of this sort of thing. He then recovered the car and it has been no luck with repair of the truck, no communication for their part. I call in, no one returns my call. mean while I have no car or replacement full coverage for one month which I had got dropped before the next bill. Now they are holding my deposit of $2000. I was being told the car was being fixed after weeks of being put off I went to the car which was parked at the BP gas station the mechanic told me the car was not being worked on. I questioned Langly about this, now no communication at all. I told him I would have to do what I have to to do to get my money back, he then told me he's glad and to do what I need to do."

  • Would not recommend anyone use this dealership. I purchased a used car through them and paid in full. 30 days lated I still did not have the car. Each time I visited or called they gave another excuse for why they did not have it. Several times they told me to wait as the delivery truck was coming, and then they closed their shop even though they had promised to call me as I waited across the street. On the day they said it finally did arrive, they refused to let me see the car! In the end they returned my money, with no appologies or cares about the entire process they subjected me and my family to. Unprofessional, uncaring, and suspect dealership and staff. While waiting there several times, saw and heard other customers in similar situations with them having paid for cars and after lengthy times getting no delivery. Stay away from this business.

  • We are in the same situation with the same dealership. I need advice!!! I am contemplating a law suit....I have been trying to get my deposit of 3500 back and they are really giving me the run around....
