Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"WE PURCHASED A USED 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER WITH 10,000 MILES. STICKER IN WINDOW STATED THAT VEHICLE HAD PASSED A 128 POINT QUALITY CHECK. WE WERE TOLD BY USED CAR MANAGER JOHN LOWRY THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AND READY TO GO. CARS.COM LISTED VEHICLE AS HAVING TOW HITCH AND WAS AUTOMATIC. NEITHER OF WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE TRUE. WE LIVE 90 MILES AWAY FROM THIS DEALER AND WE WERE SURPRISED THAT THIS VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE A TOW HITCH AND WAS NOT AUTOMATIC. HOWEVER WE LIKED THE VEHICLE AND PURCHASED IT. UPON ARRIVING HOME WE NOTICED MANY STINK BUGS IN THE BED AREA. MY NEIGHBOR AND I REMOVED CAP AND BED LINER AND FOUND HUNDREDS OF STINK BUGS. GOING FURTHER CHIPMUNK BEDDING, AND MANY ACORNS IN THE AIR FILTER AND CABIN FILTER. I TURNED ON BLOWER MOTOR AND IT VIBRATED LOUDLY. CALLED DEALER AND SPOKE WITH JOHN LOWRY, AND STEVE FARLEY WHO ADVISED US TO DRIVE BACK 180 MILES TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION. I WAS TOLD THAT THE TRUCK WAS LYING DORMANT FOR MONTHS AND IF I HAD ANY QUESTIONS I SHOULD TALK WITH NICK THE OWNER WHO WORKS IN NEW CAR SALES. THIS TRUCK NEEDED SERVICE AND WE TOOK IT TO FAULKNER NISSAN IN HARRISBURG WHO CLEANED OUT FAN MOTOR AND VIBRATION STOPPED. I DECIDED TO CHECK ALL FLUIDS WITH MY MECHANIC AND HE ADVISED THEY SHOULD BE REPLACED.REAR END, FRONT AND REAR DIFFERENTIAL, TRANSMISSION ALONG WITH ANTI FREEZE. WE CALLED NISSAN NORTH AMERICAN WHO CALLED MR YOUNGER AT FREDERICK AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD DO NOTHING. TOTAL COST TO ME THUS FAR WAS $545.00 INCLUDING ALL FILTERS. BRENDA FROM NISSAN NORTH AMERICA ADVISED THAT THESE DEALERSHIPS ARE INDEPENDENTLY OWNED AND SHE COULD DO NO MORE FOR ME OUTSIDE OF CALLING MR. YOUNGER ASKING HIM TO DO THE RIGHT THINK.
THESE SERVICES SHOULD HAVE BEEN PERFORMED BEFORE PLACING THIS VEHICLE ON THE LOT FOR SALE. WHEN MY WIFE AND MR. LOWRY HAD A CONVERSATION OVER THE PHONE AND SHE SAID "I HOPE YOU WOULD NOT KNOWINGLY SELL US A VEHICLE WITHOUT SERVICING IT". SENT MR LOWRY A FAX WITH BILL FOR COMPLETED WORK AS HE REQUEST AND NOTHING DONE. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO WARRANTY EXCEPT FOR 30 DAYS STATE INSPECTIONS ITEMS ONLY......?????"

  • Mr. Repetti we are sorry you are unhappy, we offered you the option to return the truck and get all of your money back. But has you know to find a truck with that low milage is very difficult to locate. That truck was a one owner and traded in by one of my employees.   • THE STICKER STATED THIS VEHICLE HAD A 126 POINT INSPECTION. JOHN LOWRY ASSURED US THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS SERVICED, AND IT WAS NOT. WE DID NOT STEAL THIS VEHICLE, WE TRADED IN A 2010 VEHICLE THAT HAD ALL MAINTENANCE PERFORMED ON IT PLUS 3/4 TANK OF GAS AND ONLY 39,OOO MILES. A SUPER CLEAN VEHICLE!!!! YOU SENT US HOME ON A 90 MILE DRIVE WITH ONLY $5.00 IN GAS IN TANK. ONCE AGAIN MY PROBLEM IS THAT YOU SOLD US A VEHICLE THAT WAS NOT SERVICED AND JOHN LOWRY SAID IT WAS....... SIMPLE.........
