Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Western Union tracking number: 917448388
On July 30, 2016 I requested a money transfer to a recipient in Ohio. On Aug 2, 2016, I received an email saying the recipient could pickup the money . When the recipient went to get the money she was told it was on hold. I called to fins out what had happened. I was told the transaction was cancelled (by whom?), and they could not tell me why Instead they gave me an email address (grc@westernunion.com). I said I wanted someone to give me answers and they said they did not have any and again directed me to the email. I sent them 2 emails asking for an explanation and my money either forwarded to the recipient or returned to me ASAP No response.

Why wasn't I informed? Who cancelled it? Why? Why send me an email saying all is well to pick up. This is infuriating, embarrassing, unnecessary, disorganized and not worthy of a large, respected company."

  • I have just found out my reputation has been damaged by this as it appears I didn't have the money fo the transfer. I can't do business with them again. By sending the letter stating it could be picked up (which i forwarded to the recipient) I am blamed for it not going through. This is unacceptable and unconscionable since it was WU who cancelled the transfer that had been approved.
