Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"THIS IS FOR A WIRELESS DEVISE THAT I WAS NEVER ABLE TO ACCESS ON MY COMPUTER. I TRIED TO GET THE DEVISE TO WORK AT COSTCO, WE CALLED VERIZON WIRELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE REP WAS UNABLE TO GET THE DEVISE TO WORK AND TO HELP US. I WAS TOLD BY THE COSTCO CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS THAT I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED ANYTHING AS LONG AS I RETURNED THE DEVISE WITHIN A MONTH. SO I ASKED FRIENDS IN THE SOFTWARE BUSINESS TO HELP ME GET IT TO WORK UNSUCESSFULLY. I RETURNED THE DEVISE WITHIN A MONTH AND THE VERIZON REP WAS UNHELPFUL AND TOLD ME I STILL HAD TO PAY FOR THE ACCESS CHARGES. I EXPLAINED I NEVER HAD ACCESS TO THE INTERNET WITH THEIR WIRELESS DEVISE SO WHY WOULD THEY CHARGE ME FOR THAT? I ALSO EXPLAINED THAT I WAS TOLD I COULD RETURN IT WITHIN A MONTH AND I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED. I THEN SPOKE TO A SUPERVISOR, JOHNATHAN, WHO WAS JUST AS UNHELPFUL AS THE REP. HE REFUSED TO BELIEVE I DID EVERYTHING I COULD DO TO GET IT TO WORK AND SAID THEY DON'T SHOW THAT I EVEN CALLED THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. OBVIOUSLY ACCUSING ME OF NOT CONTACTING THEIR HELP DESK. I EXPLAINED I DID AND HE SAID I STILL OWE THE ACTIVATION FEE AS IN THEIR CONTRACT. I EXPLAINED THE COSTCO REP SAID I DIDN'T OWE ANYTHING IF I COULD NOT GET IT TO WORK. I EXPLAINED I ALSO HAD BEEN IN USAGE FEE SALES AND WOULD NOT CHARGE THE CUSTOMER IF THE CUSTOMER COULD NOT GET OUR SYSTEM TO WORK...HE DIDN'T CARE AND STATED THEY DID. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF I COULD NOT GET IT TO WORK, I STILL OWED THE USAGE FEES. I SAID IT IS CLEAR IN THEIR CONTRACT AND IT WAS NOT PRESENTED THAT WAY."
