"My son plays football for Wahlert Catholic High School, in Dubuque, Iowa, they had a football game Thrtsday night @ 6:30 in Cedar Rapids. They were leaving right after school on a bus, so there was no time to eat before the game. I stopped at the Subway on Asbury Rd, Dubuque, and ordered 25 foot long subs for the team to take with them and eat after the game. When I ordered I asked the Manager what sandwich had the most meat, and explained the subs were for, the football team to eat after their game, on the way home. She told me if I wanted to spend $7 a sub I could get a lot more meat, but I told her I wanted to do the $5 foot longs, she said the cold cut combo would be the best, the cold cut combo was supposed to be salomi, bologna, ham and cheese. I ordered 25 subs, and asked if I could get the vegetables on the side so the boys could choose their own, as I know some boys didn't like certain things, she told me she would have to charge me more to put the veggies on the side. To which I said I was already paying for the veggies with each sandwich I wasn't going to pay for them twice. She said a lot of other people just ordered them with lettuce, tomotoe and pickle, that way they could pick it off if they didn't want them, so I proceded to order 20 subs with lettuce, tomatoe and pickle and 5 no veggies. She said she would put mayo and mustard packets with the sandwiches. I also ordered 24 chocolate chip cookies. I returned to pick up the order at 3:30, and took the subs and cookies to my son at school. The bus then left. The boys played their game at 6:30, boarded the bus at 9:00 to return home at which time they were tierd, sore and starving. My son called me within 5 minutes to complain that he only had ham and cheese on his sandwich, he asked around him what some of the other boys had, they all said ham and cheese. He also said the sandwiches that had the veggies on also had mayo. 5 of the boys don't like mayo, so they ended up not eating their sandwiches, which according to them were dripping in mayo. I immediately called the Subway to complain, to which the employee said to call back in the morning when the Manager was in, I told her to have the Manager call me as soon as she got in, which the employee said was 7:00, and left her me phone number. Friday morning I waited until 9:30, and when I didn't get a phone call, I called and asked to speak to the Manager. I explained the problem we had with the order, to which she said she had personally made all 25 sandwiches and they were not just ham, they also had salomi and bologna on them also. I explained that my son had asked at least 10 boys who were sitting around him on the bus what kind of sandwich they had and every answer was ham and cheese, so I asked her if she thought all the boys were lying, to which she responded, they were wrong. I then asked about the mayo, to which her response was after chuckling "Maam, I didn't put any mayo on any of the sandwiches", I then asked her again if all the boys were lying, she said she didn't know, and she didn't know what I wanted her to do about it. I told her I wanted het to make it right, she continued to tell me she did nothing wrong, that the sandwiches were made of a turkey by-product, which makes them look different, I asked if it made them look and taste like ham, she said she didn't know. I explained I had told these boys families I would feed them and 5 of the boys didn't even eat because they couldn't stand mayo, which according to her wasn't even on the sandwiches. I then said the football teams would never order sandwiches again from her, she siad that was fine, she would pass my complaint to the owner, I told her please do I'd like to talk to him that afternoon. I am writing this at 1:37 in the afternoon and have had no phone calls."
