Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I recently purchased approx. $1900 worth of carpet from Stanson, and before it was delivered I ordered an additional $1800 worth of wood flooring. The salesman 'SCOTT" sold me the package of apprx. $1869 for an agreed price of $1800 total including flooring, a stair nose piece, and Labor. After the delivery of my flooring. I notice that the charge for $1800 was removed from my checking account as I had used my bank card to pay, and To my surprise there was an additional seperate withdrawl of $83.74. Which in no way was ever authorized!! When calling Stansons I was told by "Scott" that the charge was for the nose piece. I stated to him that a seperate charge is not what we agreed to. I then asked why they would take a seperate withdrawl, and he stated " I dont know" In my opinioin Stansons stole money right out of my bank account , and then tried to give me a bold face lie!"

  • the stairnose was added on after the agreed upon price of $1800. Scott made it clear he would not order unless it was paid for. Mr.Kimosh agreed he needed it. He paid a total of $1884.74 for job/ the labor portion was $602.25. my supplier invoice for the wood was $1146.41.(I am willing to make available a copy of my supplier invoice.) We delivered the wood ( about a 30 mile trip one way ) before installation. As you do the math it's obvious we did not make much profit on this job. Scott felt sorry that Mr Kimosh had difficulty with his previous purchase of hardwood from another source that did not work out so was giving him a break on this purchase. we deeply regret that Mr.Kimosh felt he was being "ripped off".
