Claimant says:
"I first talked with Mr. Hart on Feb. 16, 2016 about a tile remodeling on our townhouse. I had to do this long distance since I live in KY. However, I sent him pictures of tiles that I wanted and where to get them, even if they had to be ordered. I ask him to place a mural in the foyer and sent him at least 10 pictures of different ones that I would like. When I did go to FL, he had placed a square small tiled piece on the floor that I had never even thought of using. Also, he had various excuses about not getting this job done-he was sick, his wife was sick, he was visiting relatives. I did a stupid thing because I felt I could trust Mr. Hart and gave him my credit card number. There were many charges on this card and some directly to him. Some could not be explained except that he told me other clients' bills had gotten charged to my account. This was never refunded to me which was thousands of dollars. We had also ask for a French door to be put in place of a sliding glass door. He told me he had purchased one that was approximately $1200 which he was paid for and never put in. The tile was replaced in both baths and he said there was mold which I don't doubt. I asked about who he got that was licensed to remove the mold and he said he did and had one. I never saw it. Both baths looked nice but when we went down neither shower worked in the two bathrooms. He replaced tile in a small bathroom that looked fine. Nothing had been cleaned up and we had told him that we were coming and this was in June. I had dust all over the carpets and down the stairs. I had another business replace my kitchen cabinets and under one of the cabinets a hole had been knocked under them. It was never fixed. I contacted Mr. Hart about all of these things and his word were that he "promised he would do a good job and get everything straight". He now will not answer my phone calls or respond to my texts. He took me for a lot of money. When we went to the condo and saw what had happened, I immediately canceled my credit card. Soon after that was when he quit corresponding with me. Needless to say, I was very angry that I had been taken by this company. They also go by Hart Builders, LLC. I don't want anyone else to end up like I did and loosing thousands of dollars by this group. I do rent this condo so he has cost me thousand more in the months that he was supposed to be working on it until now. It still can't be rented because of the shower problems which have been tiled over."
