Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Back on approximately 11/7/15 my husband & I took our granddaughter on a overnight trip to Erie Pa. We took her to a hotel called the Soltice & the main reason we chose this one was because it had a pool & the price was right. Well when we got there we overheard that the pool was broken & I explained our disappointment that that was one of the main reason we decided to stay at this particular hotel. The gentleman that was waiting on us completely ignored my comment & kept processing our room. The reason I didn't say anything was because we didn't have enough money for another hotel & they didn't seem too interested on showing us any hospitality at this point. So us being grandparents tried to make her stay as much fun as possible. So that night we went Christmas shopping & since the pool wasn't open I decided to buy a craft for back at the hotel to keep us busy. So that evening we got back to the hotel & played & than settled down to do our craft. I took my wedding rings & earrings off & set them aside. I never wear them to bed. We live approximately 1 1/2 hrs away & on our way home the next morning about 1 hr & 15 min into the trip I realized that I left my wedding rings & earring at the hotel. So frantically I started to call the hotel, the number was on the bottom of the receipt. All I ever got was to leave a message, which I did. I never heard from them. So about a week later we had to go back to Erie & I stopped back in & talked to the lady at the desk & explained my situation. She told me they didn't have a answering machine & doesn't know where I would have even got that number & I explained it was on my receipt. Than she told me that no one had stayed at that room & that there was only one person that cleaned that room. Well I asked if we could go in & look because I knew exactly where I had left them. So we went in the room & of course no jewelry. We looked on the floor & all over & than went back to the desk & she looked in a drawer that she said lost & found items were in of course they weren't there either. She offered me a free nights stay & asked me for my address. I really could care less for this free night as I don't think I would ever stay there again. As far as I am concerned this place has no morals or integrity. Thank you, Toni Krieg"
